2025 CHARTING DATA · LAST COMPLETED SEASON2026 charting data are measured from 2026 games, so they start once games are played. Until then this page shows 2025’s final numbers. The 2026 forward projections are on /2026. Rushing After Contact
Yards earned after the first defender arrives, pure physicality and balance.
Defenders made to miss as a ball carrier.
Receiving After Catch
Yards-after-catch creators who turn a 5-yard hitch into a chunk play.
These come from Pro Football Reference's film charting, analysts re-watching every snap and crediting pressures, broken tackles, and coverage by hand. It's the closest the public gets to All-22 film study in a spreadsheet. Charted, not modeled: no expected values, just what the tape showed.
- QB Pressures
- Plays where a pass rusher beat his block and disrupted the quarterback, a hurry, a hit, or a sack. The truest measure of a rusher's impact, well beyond the sack column.
- Sacks
- Quarterback takedowns behind the line on a pass attempt, as charged by PFR's film review. Charted independently of the official scorer, so totals can differ slightly from the box score.
- Yards per Target Allowed
- Receiving yards surrendered divided by passes thrown at the receiver this defender was covering. The cleanest read on coverage, a low number means the throw rarely paid off.
- Completion % Allowed
- Share of targets into this defender's coverage that were caught. Lower means tighter coverage, or a defender quarterbacks simply avoid.
- Missed-Tackle %
- Missed tackles as a share of all tackle attempts (made plus missed). A closer's stat: the lower it is, the more often the ball carrier goes down on first contact.
- Yards After Contact (YAC)
- Rushing yards gained after the first defender makes contact. Pure physicality and balance, yards the blocking didn't give him.
